Express Entry Draw Latest Figures: CRS Cut-off Score Drops by 3 Points
Express Entry immigration program released invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence on December 19, 2019.
More than 3,200 applicants who applied through the Express Entry system will receive an invitation to apply (ITA) to apply towards Canadian permanent residence in the end of the year Express Entry draw, announced on December 19, 2019.
The CRS cut-off score of this draw, which is equivalent to 469, saw a drop of total 3 points from the previous draw held on December 11, 2019 with a cut-off score of 472.
Results: Express Entry Rounds of Invitations
Since no specific program is mentioned for this draw therefore candidates that have applied through the Federal Skilled Trades Program would also be eligible for this particular round of invitations.
Number of invitations issued: 3,200
Date and time of round of invitations: December 19, 2019 at 13:21:53 UTC
CRS score needed by lowest-ranked candidate to receive invitation: 469
Tie-breaking rule: November 14, 2019 at 08:41:33 UTC
This simply implies that if more than one candidate will be having the lowest score, then the cut-off would be based on the date and time on which they have created and submitted their Express Entry profiles.
The above data could be explained as follows:
In the December 19 draw of Express Entry System for immigration to Canada, more than 3,200 candidates will be given an Invitation to Apply or ITA. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score was equivalent to 469 points. This could be perceived as an all-program draw, therefore candidates in any of the Express Entry-aligned immigration program would be considered as eligible under this Express Entry draw.
In the previous Express Entry draw, which held on December 11, 2019, the CRS cut-off score was 472 points.
The tie-breaking rule will be applied for December 19 draw, which implies that not all those candidates with 469 points will be sent an invitation to apply (ITA). As a large number of candidates had scored 469 points, only those that have submitted their Express Entry Profiles in the pool prior to November 14, 2019 at 08:41:33 UTC will be given more priority.
