FROM SEPTEMBER 22, 2021, NEW TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS WILL BE IN EFFECT

According to the Canadian government, beginning September 22, 2021, persons will be required to provide documentation of fully vaccinated status in order to get access to certain businesses. The government has provided essential information regarding the plans, even though the regulations have not yet been released.

“Fully vaccinated” means that a person has gotten two doses of a government-approved vaccination, with the second dose coming 14 days or more after the first.

An individual can only gain entry to the following businesses with proof of vaccination and a government-issued ID:

• Premises used for gyms, fitness and recreational facilities with the exclusion of youth recreational sport;

• Restaurants and bars (excluding outdoor patios, as well as delivery and takeout);

• Meetings and event spaces like banquet halls and conference/convention centres;

• Nightclubs (including outdoor areas of the establishment);

• Concerts, music festivals, theatres and cinemas;

• Casinos, bingo halls and gaming establishments;

• Racing venues (e.g., horse racing)

• Strip clubs, bathhouses and sex clubs;

• Sporting events;
