IELTS to introduce One Skill Retake

Second Chance to Retake One Skill of IELTS

Allowing exam takers a second chance to showcase their full potential.

IELTS test takers will soon have access to a new tool that will help them increase their scores and reach their career and global learning goals. IELTS is the most well-known high-stakes language test in the world.

One Skill Retake will allow test takers to retake one section of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) English test if they did not receive the score they were hoping for the first time around and is anticipated to be available in November at chosen IDP IELTS centres in Australian capital cities.

One Skill Retake has been implemented, according to Warwick Freeland, managing director of IELTS at IDP Education, who claimed this was done in response to test-taker feedback.

According to Mr. Freeland, test takers can attain their best score on the first try with the proper study methods and encouragement. They did, however, pay attention to what their test-takers had to say when they requested the chance to retake one area of the exam if they didn’t perform as well as they had hoped on test day.

He said that test takers might resume their education, relocation, or job application plans with One Skill Retake. The Australian Department of Home Affairs will be able to use the second Test Report Form given to test-takers who choose for a One Skill Retake for reasons of migration and study during the test’s first launch phase.

According to Mr. Freeland, One Skill Retake underlines IELTS’ dedication to assisting clients in achieving their highest scores and assisting businesses in attracting the best applicants.

Mr. Freeland claims, firms that accept the One Skill Retake will be able to give their applicants the flexibility to meet admission requirements without sacrificing applicant quality once it is implemented.

He declared that they are pleased with this endeavour since it solidifies their dedication to assisting test-takers in realising their full potential. In Australia, One Skill Retake will be first offered in November. Early November will bring more details to light.
