Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has released a new round of invitations to apply (ITAs) in the latest Express Entry draw.
A total of 911 ITAs were issued exclusively to candidates in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
To be eligible, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 732.

Today’s draw marks the first of the month and follows an active summer for Express Entry. In July and August, IRCC conducted 14 separate draws. Notably, July set a new record with the highest number of draws in a single month since the system’s launch in 2015, with nine draws held between July 2 and 31.
The latest draw occurred on August 27, issuing 3,330 invitations exclusively to Canadian Experience Class candidates.
IRCC has recently established a trend of conducting multiple draws every other week, typically including at least one for PNP candidates. This aligns with the department’s stated goal to prioritize “domestic” draws, providing more opportunities for temporary residents to transition to permanent residency and managing the intake of temporary residents entering Canada.
What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is an application management system launched by IRCC in 2015 to streamline the selection of economic immigration candidates with valuable human capital attributes. It manages three key economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Candidates in these programs can also apply for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams aligned with Express Entry, known as enhanced nominations. Express Entry candidates who receive a PNP nomination are awarded an additional 600 CRS points, significantly increasing their chances of receiving an ITA in a future draw, depending on the draw type.
