IRCC welcomes 893 PNP applicants

In a new Express Entry draw, IRCC welcomes 893 PNP applicants.

On February 1, 2023, only PNP candidates were invited to participate.

The IRCC has conducted the third Express Entry draw of 2023.

893 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 733 received invitations to apply for permanent residence from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Since July 2022, this was the first draw for a particular Express Entry program. The IRCC conducted all-program draws from July to the present, inviting all qualified Express Entry candidates. Without a provincial nomination, Express Entry applicants may be selected from one of the three programs run by the Express Entry application management system in an all-program draw.

The provincial nomination has already been granted to Express Entry applicants in this draw. Through the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), Canadian provinces are able to recommend candidates who will help them achieve their demographic and labor market goals in their regions. Except for Quebec and Nunavut, most of the Canadian provinces and territories have PNPs that are in line with Express Entry.

Because PNP candidates automatically receive 600 more points for holding a provincial nomination, the scores were so high.
