The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held another Express Entry draw, inviting a total of 392 eligible applicants holding provincial nominations. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the candidates who received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in this round of invitation was equivalent to 696 points.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) ranks the candidates on the basis of various human capital factors which includes age, education, work experience and also English or French language proficiency in order to determine the eligibility of the candidates for immigration to Canada and evaluating their likelihood of succeeding towards the Canadian job market.
Similar to previous month’s rounds of invitation, this draw also continues the IRCC’s trend of inviting only the PNP and CEC candidates. It has therefore, now been more than a month since the last all-program draw, which generally accepts the Federal Skilled Workers immigration category, has been released by the IRCC. The Express Entry drawsare limited to only PNP and CEC candidates for the time being mainly due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation across Canada and also other parts of the world. It is unclear how long these restrictions will be imposed in place.
