Details of the August 18, 2025 Draw
- Draw type: Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
- Number of ITAs issued: 192
- Minimum CRS score: 800
- Date of draw: August 18, 2025
What Is the Provincial Nominee Program?
The Provincial Nominee Program helps provinces and territories choose skilled workers who can support their local labour markets. A provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points to a candidate’s profile. As a result, applicants with nominations almost always receive an ITA in a PNP-only draw.
To be eligible, candidates usually need to:
Meet the requirements of a specific provincial stream.
Demonstrate relevant work experience or a valid job offer.
Prove language ability and educational qualifications.
Why This Draw Matters
This draw highlights how valuable a provincial nomination can be. Because a nomination adds a large score boost, the CRS cut-off for PNP draws is always high. In this case, the score of 800 reflects strong base profiles combined with the nomination.
For those still waiting, it shows the importance of exploring PNP options. In addition, applicants who improve language scores, add more work experience, or complete extra education can strengthen their profiles.
Next Steps for Selected Candidates
Candidates who received an ITA must act quickly. They have 60 days to submit a full application for permanent residence. During this time, it is important to:
Accept the ITA in the online account.
Upload supporting documents such as police certificates, medicals, education records, and work letters.
Double-check all details to avoid errors that may cause delays.
What If You Were Not Selected?
Missing out on this round is not the end. Your Express Entry profile remains valid for up to 12 months. Therefore, you still have chances in future draws. You can also increase your CRS score by improving test results, gaining additional experience, or applying to provincial streams that fit your background.
