More job opportunities for new immigrants to Canada

Immigrants who arrived in Canada in the previous five years have had more employment options since the pandemic began, with their employment rate hitting 70.4 percent last month.

This is increased by 6.1 percentage points from the same month last year before the pandemic broke out.

The majority of these immigrants would have come to Canada through economic immigration programs including the Atlantic Immigration Pilot, Canadian Experience, Caregiver, Skilled Trade, and Skilled Worker, which would have significantly increased their work possibilities.

Others came through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program’s (TFWP) Global Talent Stream (GTS), to overcome labor shortages, it processes Canadian work permits and visa applications in two weeks.

Despite the fact that immigration numbers decreased as a result of border closures due to public health restrictions during the pandemic, the Canadian economy is booming back to life, with jobs in the healthcare and construction industries aplenty.

Immigrants Can Benefit from the Increasing Job Market, this opens up new possibilities for those who want to immigrate to Canada.

Employment grew by 90,000, or 0.5 percent, in August, according to Statistics Canada, marking the third consecutive monthly rise. Employment is within 156,000 jobs, or 0.8 percent, of its February 2020 peak, which was the lowest since the pandemic began.
